Alert removal for Darebin Creek

foam in the water near the bank of Darebin Creek

A community pollution report alerted Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) to foam in the Darebin Creek, near Tyler Street in Reservoir. An EPA staff member investigated the foam but it had been washed away by the time they arrived. The foam was centred on a drain into the Darebin suggesting that a detergent or similar substance was running into the creek via the drain and causing the foam.
