Alerts issued for the Merri Creek in Northcote, Stony Creek in Yarraville and the Yarra River in Alphington and the CBD have been removed.

An oil sheen was reported in the Merri Creek near Sumner Avenue in Northcote. The oil was dispersed by heavy rainfall and increased flow in the creek.

A white discolouration was reported at Stony Creek in Cruickshank Park, Yarraville. This was potentially due to fine sediment entering the creek but the attending EPA officer couldn’t confirm a source

Foam was reported coming out of a drain at the end of Yarraford Avenue, Alphington into the Yarra River on Sunday 19th December following heavy rainfall. The reporter let EPA know that the foam was quickly dispersed and an EPA officer did not attend.

The silty discharge reported near Flinder's Walk in the Yarra River was also dispersed by rainfall and increased river flow.
