Kananook Creek pollution report investigation
A community report of a grey, opaque substance in Kanaook Creek, Seaford prompted an Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) investigation on Tuesday 2 June 2015.
The responding Environment Protection Officer (EPO) attended the scene and was able to confirm the pollution, but as the discharge had ceased before they arrived, the source was unable to be located.
The Victorian community has a vital role in protecting the environment. Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) relies on the community to report incidents of pollution, environmental hazard or other activities potentially harmful to the environment.
If you see, hear or smell pollution please report it to the EPA Pollution Hotline 1300 372 842 (1300 EPA VIC) or online.
