Narre Warren pollution alert removed

A pollution alert posted on 26 May 2015 has been removed.

South East Water reported a sewer spill in Narre Warren on 25 May 2015.  The spill was cleaned up though as there has not been any rain recently a precautionary alert was posted in case some of the spill pooled in a nearby retarding basin in Harry Oakes Reserve, which flows into Dandenong Creek (tributary of the Pattterson River).

South East Water investigated the incident and found that the spill was successfully contained and did not reach the stormwater system.
